Series 355 was in production from 1931 to 1935. This 355C was the first ever Cadillac with vent windows, as a part of both front and rear doors. The body is a 5-passenger Town Sedan, however the 7-passenger version was equally popular. The sales figures were not particularly impressive - the reason behind it was the culmination of the Great Depression in 1933. It was also the first year in office for Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the economy started to improve slowly since.

This particular example was imported to Slovakia in 2008 from the well-known Hershey Car Show.

It is rather obvious from the pictures that the car was in fair condition and fully driveable. The decision regarding the restoration was made immediately after the thorough inspection of the Cadillac. All pictures were made with Cadillac still being in Hershey.

Despite not undergoing a total restoration, the aim here was to bring the car to the perfect state from both technical and optical point of view.

These photos come from various events, on which the Cadillac has taken part, like for instance the famous domestic event of Piestanske Zlate stuhy (Golden Ribbons of Piestany) or Chateau Loucen Concours d'Elegance. Soon, pictures of the precisely refurbished interior will be uploaded. Quality of this work can be appreciated by everyone, disregarding whether being an expert or not.
